Board Recruitment Announcement – Call for Applications

The Iranian Women Organization of Ontario (IWOO), a registered, not-for-profit and charitable organization serving all Ontarians, especially the Farsi-speaking immigrant women and families, is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic board of directors. Board members are actively involved in the operation of the Organization, and are expected to attend monthly board meetings, lead one board committee and participate in at least one additional committee.

The board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on board candidates with accounting, entrepreneurship, public relations and communication, fund raising and resource development expertise, as well as those familiar with partner relation and network building in the larger Iranian community. Strong preference will be given to those candidates with volunteering experience and team-working spirit. Prior board or other leadership experience will be an asset.
