Over 100 volunteers and many volunteer organizations provide more than 5000 hours of assistance every year. We are grateful to the faculty members at York University, University of Toronto-OISE, Seneca College, and TDSB area school administrators in remaining with us over the years, acting as our sounding board and providing guidance.IWOO tremendously enjoys an increasing support of academic institutions assisting us with research, strategic planning and capacity building. Our supporters and members are key contributors to our organization’s steady growth and development.The supports we receive from our volunteers are reflected in the following areas:Contribution to research in the community and IWOO services such as settlement, literacy, wellness, leisure and enrichment;Involvement in IWOO committees and special events;Facilitating IWOO’s educational workshops and professional developments;Assisting with fundraising activities;Engaging in IWOO Board and strengthening its governance.Our regular volunteers at IWOO offer their selfless and invaluable services to enrich our programs and make a positive difference in our community.
